Careers and training
We train talented Stylists to become in Demand Creative Colorists
A paid, graded program that takes a licensed stylist to a certified Wicked colorist with their own commission chair. Structured, assessed and the same standard for everyone.
The path
Five phases, in order.
- 01
Onboarding
Salon systems, safety, sanitation and how a Wicked appointment runs from greeting to rebooking.
- 02
Assistant foundations
Working the floor alongside senior colorists, learning timing, prep and the standards you will be graded against.
- 03
Technical foundation, 26 weeks
A structured, graded program covering the core services. Every competency group is assessed and every assessment is passed at eighty seven percent or above.
- 04
Colorist certification, six months
The colour path. Clear it and you earn the right to apply colour on the floor and move into a commission chair.
- 05
Ongoing development
Mentorship, continued education and level progression. Your price goes up as your level does.
The standard
Eighty seven percent, every competency.
87%
The pass mark on every graded competency. No exceptions, no early promotions.
26
Weeks in the technical foundation, worked on a four day week while you assist on the floor.
6
Months on the colorist path, ending in certification, colour on the floor and a commission chair.
Graduates
What you can do at the end.
- Deliver the salon's core services consistently, to a written standard
- Run a consultation properly and rebook the client before they leave
- Document a formula so the result can be repeated exactly
- Hold the sanitation, safety and integrity standards without supervision
- Recommend home care that actually holds the colour
- Run your own column inside the salon's systems

Questions
Training, answered.
- Do I need experience to apply?
- You need your cosmetology license or to be close to finishing it. Everything after that is taught here, in order, on a schedule.
- Is the training paid?
- Yes. You work as an assistant on the salon floor while you train, on a four day week, and your pay moves up as you clear each milestone.
- How long until I am behind my own chair?
- The technical foundation runs twenty six weeks. Colorist certification is a six month path on top of that, and clearing it is what earns you colour on the floor and a commission chair.
- What if I do not pass something?
- You retrain that competency and test again. Nobody is moved up early and nobody is quietly dropped. The standard is eighty seven percent, and it is the same standard for everyone.
- How do I apply?
- Email colormewickedhair@gmail.com or call (801) 999-0684 with a short note about where you are in your training and any work you want to show us.
