The colour we use
Keune Color in Utah
Every formula in our bowls is Keune, the Dutch professional colour house. Here is what each line does, and why it matters to the colour on your head.
Why Keune
Repeatable formulas, hair that survives them.
A colourist is only as consistent as the pigment system behind them.
We colour with Keune, the Dutch professional colour house. Tinta for permanent depth and coverage, Semi Color for ammonia free tone and shine, Ultimate Blonde for lifting and toning, and Color Craving for removable vivids. It is the reason our formulas stay repeatable and our blondes stay in one piece.
We write your formula down every visit. Because Keune tones sit exactly where the swatch says they will, that record turns into a colour you can repeat, adjust by half a level, or hand to us a year later and still recognise.

The lines
Six Keune systems, one plan for your hair.
Keune Tinta Color
Permanent depth and full grey coverage
Our workhorse for natural depth, brunette richness and 100 percent grey coverage. It conditions while it deposits, so hair leaves shinier than it arrived. Best when you want your colour to hold its exact tone between visits.
Keune Semi Color
Demi permanent, ammonia free tone
Where glass finish shine lives. Ammonia free, so it tones and refreshes without lifting the hair. We use it for glosses, blonde toning, grey blending and colour refreshes between full appointments.
Keune Ultimate Blonde
Lightening, toning and blonde upkeep
Professional lighteners with bonding support and a full toner shelf. This is how dark to blonde work happens in stages without the hair paying for it, and how balayage stays soft rather than brassy.
Keune Color Craving
Removable vivids
Direct dye vivids that lift back out. Copper, magenta, cobalt, emerald, pastel. Perfect for a season of bright colour, a shoot, or a trial run before committing to a permanent statement.
Keune So Pure
Gentle, plant derived colour
For sensitive scalps and guests who want the softest possible chemistry with a natural finish. Lower lift, beautiful tone, very kind on the hair.
Keune Blend Master
Freehand and balayage
Clay and cream lighteners built for open air freehand painting. Controlled lift, clean edges, and the reason our balayage grows out instead of growing awkward.
How we use it
Product choice is a decision, not a habit.
Grey coverage that must not fade goes to Tinta. Blonde toning goes to Semi Color so we never lift what does not need lifting. Dark to blonde goes to Ultimate Blonde in staged sessions. Bright fashion colour goes to Color Craving so it can leave when you are done with it. Sensitive scalps go to So Pure.
- Formula recorded and repeatable every visit
- Bonding support on every lightening service
- Tone corrected in the bowl, not hidden with product
- Home care matched to the colour we just built
Questions
Keune, answered.
- Why does Wicked Hair use Keune Color?
- Keune is a Dutch professional colour house with a tight, repeatable pigment system. That means the formula written on your card in March gives the same result in September, which is the whole game in creative colour and correction.
- Is Keune good for grey coverage?
- Yes. Tinta Color gives full grey coverage with conditioning built into the deposit, and it also blends softly when you want grey woven in rather than erased.
- Can Keune lift dark box dye?
- Ultimate Blonde lighteners plus a staged plan can move most box dye, but sequence matters more than product. We tell you how many sessions it will take before we start.
- Are vivid colours permanent?
- Not with Color Craving. It is fully removable, so a bright colour never becomes a permanent decision you have to grow out.
- Is Keune ammonia free?
- Semi Color is demi permanent and ammonia free. Tinta uses ammonia where permanent grey coverage needs it. We choose the line to fit the hair, not the other way round.
